Profile - Martyn Wilson

Multi-award winning Garden Designer Martyn Wilson MA, BSc (Hons), MRTPI, PGD Dip.

Martyn is a graduate in Spatial Planning and Environmental Management who studied Professional Garden Design at the Cotswold Gardening School, where he is now a visiting lecturer.  

He developed his passion and knowledge of gardening and garden design working in the Cotswolds, the Vale of Evesham, Worcestershire and working in the beautiful grounds of Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire.

Martyn has designed several award winning show gardens including coveted RHS Gold medals and has featured on BBC Gardeners' World on BBC2:

  • BBC Gardeners' World Live Gold Medal for 'A Breath of Fresh Air' on the Association of Professional Landscapers Avenue. 
  • RHS Gold medal for 'Memories of Service' supporting the RAF100 Appeal at the RHS Malvern Spring Festival 2018
  • BUILD Magazine - Best Garden design Company - Midlands & Best UK Commercial Garden Refurbishment. 
  • RHS Gold medal for 'Brownfield Metamorphosis' sponsored by ST Modwen Properties PLC at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2017
  • RHS People’s Choice Award (Show Garden) and RHS Bronze medal for ‘Time is a Healer’ supporting Primrose Hospice at the RHS Malvern Spring Festival 2016 
  • RHS Silver-Gilt medal for the ‘The Bees Knees’ supporting the Bumblebee Conservation Trust at the RHS Malvern Spring Festival 2015; and
  • RHS Silver medal for ‘The Journey’ supporting The Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund at the RHS Malvern Spring Festival 2014.
